Welcome to my online portfolio.
For as long as he can remember Bob has always had a love for art, and a desire to draw and paint.
In 1958 at the age of fourteen he followed in his step-fathers footsteps and joined the staff of The Amalgamated Press, later to become fleetway Publications.
He started as an office-boy prior to beginning a five-year apprenticeship in the process engraving department.
During this time he attended both City Day College and the London College of Printing and Graphic Arts. Here he studied the history of Printing, Hand Engraving and Air Brush Retouching and Design, gaining a City and Guilds Diploma in 1962.

The Art Club 1962
In 1962 Bob joined the Art Club attached to the social club of the company, where, through demonstrations, pratical workshops and painting days out, he continued to develop his love for painting.
He first entered his paintings in the clubs Annual Exhibition at the age of fifteen, which although he didn`t realise it then, was a great honour. He entered and had works accepted then every year until leaving the company in 1964
The move to Leighton Buzzard
In 1969 with his wife Margaret and nine month old son he moved to Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire. It wasn't long before he joined the Leighton Buzzard Art Society, but this was only for a short time. Although painting was a very important part of Bobs life, because of work committments he was forced to curtail this activity.
Watercolours
Bob works mainly in Watercolours. For Examples of current works look in Photo Page.
